TIME dotCom Berhad ("TdC") represents the Group’s presence in the telecommunications industry. It was incorporated as a public company on 11 December 1996 under the name of TIME Telecommunications Holdings Berhad. The company assumed its present name on 17 January 2000 and was subsequently listed on the Main Board of Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange on 12 March 2001.

The principal activity of TdC is investment holding, provision of management and marketing/promotional services and retailing telecommunication services.

As one of the major players in the country’s rapidly developing telecommunications industry and being the operator of the only 100% fibre optic trunk network, TdC is best equipped to meet the demands of emerging technologies and services. As new technology brings about convergence in voice, data and multimedia, TdC is set to harness the various products and services within the Group to continue providing Malaysians with revolutionary communications solutions.

TdC’s 100% fibre optic network includes 3,600km of terrestrial fibre optic cable including a main fibre optic route of 900km along the North South Expressway. The network is also complemented with over 1,600km of submarine festoon fibre optic cable backup systems with landing points around the perimeter of Peninsular Malaysia. TdC’s combination of submarine and terrestrial cables provides diversity and added network resiliency. With continuous upgrading to keep up with technology advances, the network is designed to increase the quality of its services to customers.

TdC as Malaysia’s preferred communications service provider offers a complete and comprehensive range of services to both domestic and international markets from voice and data communications to broadband, Internet, global managed services, payphones and various multimedia solutions. Its strong capabilities in packaged broadband solutions and fixed wireless broadband access, well positions the company for a high-speed data world.

Fixed Line, Broadband and Internet Services
TIME is leveraging on the superiority of the fibre optic infrastructure and network provided by TdC to gain exceptional advantage in its ICT initiatives and services it offers.

TdC’s product mission is ‘visionary leadership in broadband-enabled communications’. The Fixed Line Business of TdC is offered through TT dotCom Sdn Bhd and include fixed line, voice and data communications and other value-added services using the 'TIME' brand.

The Group's fixed line and broadband business handle four major product categories, namely Direct Access, which deals with products that require the Group's infrastructure to be built into customers' premises; Indirect Access covers products that do not require the building of infrastructure; Multimedia; and Broadband and Managed Network systems.

New Direct Access products include TIME Conference, TIME 1800/1300, TIME Satellite Broadband and Flexi-IDD Voice services.

Under Indirect Access, TIME Kontact is positioned as a lifestyle prepaid calling card while TIME GOLD continues to enjoy pole position as one of the best and top selling VOIP postpaid calling cards in the market.

Under Broadband and Multimedia, TIME Broadband, the nation's leading broadband high speed Internet service, utilises TdC's 100% fibre optic trunk network, providing customers the latest in technology to help improve their business operations. TIME Broadband offers flexible and affordable high quality broadband services, which include BizNET packages for business users, SoNET packages for small offices and HomeNET packages for residential users. TIME Broadband connections also support TIMEZone, a Wireless LAN, that provides faster surf time, faster uploads and downloads without the hassle of phone lines or wires. The service has been introduced to several areas in the Klang Valley and the locations continue to grow.

TdC provides dial-up and broadband Internet services to commercial and residential customers under the 'TIMENet' brand. Also known as the Group's ISP, TIMENet, has been operating since August 2000 and it continues to grow in terms of subscriber base as well as usage. TIMENet offers innovative solutions to business and individual customers and continually strive to roll out new and exciting services such as broadband delivery, bundled with corporate, educational and infotainment applications.

With existing capacity for high-speed broadband, TIMENet has virtually unlimited bandwidth to meet the increasing demands of its customers. The growth of content application and through the fixed wireless and wireline technology, TIMENet is poised to position itself as an industry leader in content and value added services. Focusing on both corporate and individual customers, TIMENet is also offering web hosting, web designing, server co-location and other facilities management services.

Fusion, TIME’s Next Generation Network (NGN), is designed to implement a simplified, scaleable, flexible and highly manageable Ethernet architecture that permits the convergence of voice, data and video services. It allows businesses to safely transfer huge amounts of information at a faster speed and at a fraction of the cost. With Fusion, TIME is able to provide a host of Next Generation Applications at very affordable prices.

nevo stands for new voice over data. Simply put, nevo represents a change in the way one communicates. Unlike traditional voice services, nevo offers much more features. nevo is an application that offers new voice solution which gives customers feature-rich services. This solution enables voice and data to be delivered in just one broadband connection.

Payphone Services
TdC through TIME Reach Sdn Bhd ("TRSB") operates an extensive network of public pay phones under the ‘TIME’ and ‘Uniphone’ brand. There are about 38,000 TIME payphones that are strategically located at buildings, shopping complexes and sidewalks throughout the country. TRSB has a variety of payphones available in the market. They comprise multi payment payphones, coin payphones and phones using smart card technology, which are exclusive for KLIA.

TIME Payphones are efficiently managed by an online Payphone Management System, which is capable of real-time reporting. Future deployment of payphone technology will accommodate total communications solutions comprising of multi payment and multi application facilities to cater for integration of other card types. The payphone network provides an essential public service through its accessibility and convenience and is simple and easy to use. They are easily accessible nationwide and economical with low call rates. TRSB continues to be the payphone operator of choice with installations in KLIA, Express Rail Station, Mines Shopping Fair Complex and One Utama Shopping Complex.
